Garden maintenance in Reigate — established gardens kept in shape, lawns and hedges looked after, borders weeded and replanted.
Many of Reigate’s older houses have long, established gardens with mature hedges, shrubs and climbers on the walls. Keeping that sort of garden looking its best is steady work — trimming, cutting back and weeding through the season — and it suits regular visits.
In the villages along the foot of the Downs, such as Buckland and Betchworth, gardens are often bigger and more rural, with hedges bordering fields and lanes. We trim those, and look after lawns and borders too.
Reigate lies at the foot of the chalk North Downs, with sandy soils through the town and heavier clay to the south towards Leigh. Chalk and sand drain freely and dry out in summer, so borders there need compost to hold moisture; the clay needs the opposite care.
