Painting and decorating in Guildford

Guildford is Surrey’s county town, with a historic centre on the slopes above the River Wey and a wide spread of housing around it — Victorian terraces, interwar semis and large detached homes. We decorate all of them, from one room to a whole house.

With the university and a steady stream of commuters, Guildford has a large rental market. We repaint rooms and whole lets between tenancies, and have direct experience maintaining rental and Airbnb properties.

Villages and older properties

Godalming, Shalford, Bramley and Chilworth have many older properties with painted timber windows, doors and weatherboarding. Keeping that joinery painted is what stops it rotting, and any damaged sections can be repaired first by a fully qualified carpenter and cabinet maker.

We recently completed a whole-house redecoration — wallpaper stripped from the hall, stairs and landing and the house repainted throughout (case study below). It is the same approach for a single room: careful preparation, then clean finishes.

What we take on

• Rooms and whole houses repainted
• Wallpaper stripped and walls repainted
• Staircases, banisters and doors painted
• Rentals repainted between tenancies
• Exterior windows, doors and weatherboarding
• Fences, sheds and gates painted or treated
